Yep another victory for the the Nouveau Fascists.
Read that a while ago. If I drank that Heineken and Carlsberg stuff I'd have stopped in protest at their bulling attitude.
I felt sorry for him until I saw what he’d posted on Twitter. Sickening.

Indeed, Naomi. More to the story than stereotyping stuffed effigies of black peoples.
I'm amused that they are moving to their holiday home in Turkey - if they can get residency visas
Erm...what did he post on twitter?
Who are the 'fascists' who 'closed down' the pub?
Was it the beer suppliers?
Or was it the secret police or some violent protesters who attacked the premises and smashed windows and threatened the poor landlord?
Was it a new blackshirt army?
Why do some idiots throw around terms like 'fascists'? And why 'nouveau? That's a EUSSR term, surely? Why not say 'New Fascists'?
Why not get a life, as they say?
Thanks Barry.
A rather unsavoury character to say the least.

Well well well
so someone complains about a few golly dolls and the pub gets closed down, really,, they should have asked the 65million that did not complain,,,,democracy,, but only for golly dolls
tommy, with respect there is a lot more to it than that
The landlord has got far right views and i do not agree with him, but it is sad that the pub is closing, there is no free speech in this country.
Sounds like a gentleman of the 'Far Right' - whatever that is - but whatever it is, it isn't against the law, though I think appropriating private property is.

Pub landlords are not usually shrinking violets & I'm minded of the remark:

“I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”, which is said to have come from Voltaire, but it may have come from his, biographer, Evelyn Beatrice Hall
KHANDRO, "it isn't against the law, though I think appropriating private property is."

If you are referring to the police taking away the dolls, they might be private property but they are also evidence of a potential offence and the police are permitted to remove them from the pub as part of their investigation.
If the landlord has the right to express his views and replace the removed dolls with more dolls then surely companies also have the right to express their views by refusing to do business with him and disassociate themselves?
Say and do what you like but accept the consequences
Corbyloon;
//If you are referring to the police taking away the dolls, they might be private property but they are also evidence of a potential offence and the police are permitted to remove them from the pub as part of their investigation.//

If you seriously believe that owning a bit of stuffed black fabric is an offence then it's time for you to make a reality check.
It's not what I believe, it is being investigated by the police.
//It's not what I believe, it is being investigated by the police.//

Course it is. And some actually believe that is a valid excuse and resource of police time. Mean while numerous black on black killings are occurring most days in London and the Home counties and indeed all of the UK. How many lives are saved by putting golliwogs under lock and key I wonder. Pathetic.
