So the economy is safe under labour then!

Looks like we are doomed either way.

I thought exactly the same when I read this article earlier. Just doesn't add up. I don't expect those who are claiming severe hardship at the moment will be too enamoured with the overseas spending aid being returned to its original payments.
Looks like YMB's lost his Bumper Book Of Names And Punctuation. :-p
for nostalgia lets releive the genius at work....from about 2:30...

‘May’ need to raise taxes? Make no mistake, that’ll be a cert - and they’ll still be disastrous.
It’s very embarrassing when a Conservative Minister in a Government with an appalling recent record on inflation, predicts it would be worse under the opposition.
The Country has been suffering appalling strikes for a year because the Tories record on inflation means they have to strike for more money just to stand still.
No doubt the Daily Mail sheep will lap up this misinformation.
If you are going to resurrect an 10 year old story on Diane’s innumeracy, you could at least not be illiterate and spell her name correctly.

Up here in Scotland us workers pay a higher rate of tax than you lot down in England.I am happy enough with that if it pays for better social services, etc,if it is going into the Murrells and their friends back pockets, forget it.
Of course Scottish workers pay UK Income, so it is exactly the same as the English, Welsh and N.Irish.
Tax raising powers have. never been devolved
Gromit?
true but they pay a surcharge on top.....and are the benefits worth it? Maybe for their roads but their NHs, education, drug rates etc are all suffering
@15.59.Sorry,Gromit.I have given up on the SNP and their supporters malfeasance.Us ordinary decent Scots dont want anything to do with the SNP nationalists and their thieving.
YNNAFYMMI, "I have given up on the SNP and their supporters malfeasance."

What are you on about now?
"predicts it would be worse under the opposition."

when that opposition is the scum of the lie & bore circus party it always is...
I have to lmao when anyone posts a DM link as evidence of anything against Labour.

It's like the Socialist Worker objectively explaining why the Tories aren't very nice.
@17.06-"the SNP and their supporters malfeasance"-cant you read qui...sorry,loon?
I can read but what specific malfeasance by the SNP and what specific malfeasance by their supporters do you mean?
gromit: "Tax raising powers have. never been devolved" - yes they have since 2012. Surprised the Chief Nitpicker didn't pick that one up.
Don’t live in Scotland so I was wrong.
I thought they still used the Barnett formula.
