Farage has had the most influence on Brexit since without his efforts it is unlikely to have got far, given that the establishmen t never wanted it.

If Johnson wants to return to power, which he’d have to do and some think he wants, he’d need to stay in a party which has a chance of forming a government.
If he walked into Farage’s world it would be that of the dog with the bone.
Whereas Farage isn’t interested in power, plainly.

What makes you think he would want to be in government? Being on the sideline - (& earning loadsamoney), he could have enormous influence.
Farage himself was the most influential force in British politics over the last decade & wasn't ever even a member of parliament.

I don’t know but I can’t see any mileage in a coalition: it wouldn’t be one of like minds. Johnson is a man of many talents: he should reinvent himself and do something useful. In many ways his bitterness is sad to see.

Farage was a high profile figure but his influence was very limited.
Brexit occurred because the Brexit campaign cleverly managed to sideline him and Arron Banks: that was one of Cummings’s great achievements.

Might be worthwhile those in existing main political parties pondering the fact that nothing can be taken for granted. The Labour party only got off the ground in the 1920s, while the Liberal party lost any further chance of being in government. I doubt the Liberals saw that coming, say, a decade earlier. Not that I was around in the 1910s. At present the Tories are choosing to split onto 2 rival fractions. Will they pull through as a single unit again, or has fate something else awaiting them ?
But it clearly is not enough. You get discussion on putting the UK in step with the EU thus turning Brexit into BRINO. Reneging on updating laws from the EU membership period. No attempt to trigger article 16 to get the NI issues sorted. Just because we (mostly) are out of the EU, no longer officially a member, it is very very far from over & done. Many (all ?) politicians are not to be trusted. Especially when they add to EU issues with 15 minutes regions you will be pushed into keeping to, and allowing the EU to control some of our military, and considering allowing the WHO to dictate to our nation, and bending over backwards to appease the WEF. Politicians like those mentioned above are clearly needed more than ever to have any hope of retaining our valued western freedoms.
