Why are children vaping, vaping is used to help people stop smoking and how are children buying vapes when you need to be 18 to buy them.

I just don't get this, the only use for vaping is to help smokers quit so why are the kids doing it? Time to make it prescription only??

I can't think of any case where a child has been hospitalised through choosing to smoke cigarettes. Plenty have thrown up when they try it for the first time but it takes years of persistent smoking before significant harm occurs.
I know children have developed asthma caused by being exposed to second hand smoking from birth but that is not their choice.
Vapes should not be appealing to children, not in taste nor the design of the vape itself. It shouldn't be too difficult to engineer a change of attitude in young people towards vaping, making it ridiculous, stupid, silly.
I've seen vapes sold in sweet shops.

Vaping is used simply to make profits for those with few, if any, morals when smoking became more restricted for the sake of those members of the public who had been subjected to other's smoke fumes for decades before society progressed. These folk saw a gap in the market they could use, regardless of what they caused. Since there were already many aids to quitting smoking at the time, that someone thought vaping might help is just the excuse these immoral vape creators & sellers were hoping for. The government allowing it proved how inept they are; but when you see the idiocy they allow with hard shoulder removal, electric scooters etc. it really doesn't come as any surprise. Anyone who desires being in authority these days seem to need to meet the criteria of being useless at it. Has to be part of the job description, I guess.
Vaping has to be made as socially unacceptable as smoking, I think, if we want to stop children harming themselves.
Personally, I can't stand the smell and people vaping in the street near me often make me cough (I'm asthmatic)although it's not as bad as tobacco smoke which actually hurts my throat if breathed in.

Hardly anyone I know who vapes is doing it to give up smoking, I'm not sure how that myth originated. It's cheaper than tobacco and at my work you can vape in a designated area on site. Tobacco smoking is banned. I have always said one day it will be proved to be as equally bad if not worse than tobacco. Inhaling synthetically made fruity flavours must be dodgy.
Illegal vape dealers are selling vapes to our kids. I have two boys 15 and 16 and have already "confiscated" a few old vapes already. Also they order fluids from Chinese online stores and mix them themselves, so they never know what kind of s#$it they smoke. That's why some of them may end up in hospital. And yes, they thin it is indeed harmless.
