A cat very nearly killed me when I was a toddler, all from a little scratch on the back of my hand. I was in hospital for weeks, very poorly

Barry - they are very cuddly and cute animals and we tend to forget that they are not domesticated and we become complacent.

Many people hate/fear or just dislike cats for various reasons - I can understand why.

I'm still pondering whether to get another one now that my two have died.

Pasta, when Merlin tore up my arm she had me cornered in a small room. I was trying to convince her to go in her carrier so that we could go and see the vet. We had to cancel the appointment.

When we eventually got to the vet she went berserk and lunged at the vet, he moved faster than me and I got bitten and shredded. The vet had to clean my wounds and bandage me. My friend was there and she was totally stunned at the speed of Merlin's attack.

They may only be little but they are afraid of nothing.
