saying their 'interventions' are justified and legit.
What a bloody hypocrite like a lot of these pseudo-do-gooders.
The evidence - now, of course, with his BBC income and other streams behind him, he can afford to drive around in a nice car. He mentions his super-smart Jaguar F-Pace, worth around £50k, on Twitter.
However, he's also been seen riding a Mercedes SL550 (around £85k), BMW 650i convertible (around £75k), Range Rover Sport (from £65k) and a Jaguar XJ (also from 65k).
This is blatant hypocrisy......what do you think?

I’ve said this before…I was at the Prem final at Twickenham when the clowns invaded the pitch, and the crowd, as one, booed them. What the cameras didn’t show, because they panned away (which I think should always happen) was the reaction from those closest as they were being marched away.
If Twickenham was a barometer of how normal people think of the methods, and given there were over 60,000 there I think it’s a fair barometer, the normal public absolutely do not support them.

the purpose of just stop oil is not to “win over” the public or “raise awareness”… at this point nobody is ignorant of climate change or the reprehensible evils committed by the fossil fuel industry or our dependence on them.
the trouble is that most of us shrug our shoulders. oh dear, what a pity.
the purpose of just stop oil is to mobilise people who agree with them but don’t presently do anything. to make the issue impossible to ignore. to force people to take a stance on the climate crisis.

What are you personally doing to stop this “reprehensible evil” untitled?
Are you walking everywhere?
We know you’re benefiting from oil because you’re posting on a computer that is encased in plastic.
Every single facet of your life will have oil somehow involved, from your computer, your phone, the plastic in your house and to the shoes you wear.
You can only refer to oil as reprensible evil if nothing you use is derived from oil, otherwise you’re as bad as the cretins blocking the road and spoiling the entertainment of people watching sporting events.
You can’t have it both ways mate.

Untitled - // “ Their attention-seeking idiocy disrupts the lives of people going about their business, be that travelling around, to work and so on, or enjoying a sporting event for which they have paid money to enjoy. ”
this is not “harm” andy hughes //
'Harm' is pretty much the same as 'beauty' - it's in the eye of the beholder.
It's not 'harm' to you, but that does not mean that your interpretation of the word - or indeed mine to be fair - is the one that the world has to live by.
Even if it was nothing more than a gigantic pain in the bottom, it does not justify that behaviour.
The idea is to make people 'take notice' because it's direct action.
But the problem is, you invite alternative 'direct action', which can be less of the sprinkling dust about, and more of the smack-in-the-mouth variety.
You don't bring people round to your point of view by spoiling their day out - it's simply not the way human nature operates.

frip - // I disapprove of what you say but i will defend to the death your right to say it. //
I, and I suspect many others, have no problem with defending the right to free speech.
But speech is done with your mouth, and your mouth doesn't spray confetti and jigsaw pieces about, and it doesn't sit you down in front of working ambulance crews either, that's when defending gets a little more tricky.
