Unsurprised. He's had to put with a lot of that from others over his career.
To be fair to Boris, he lied and was found out, and shown the door.
If Mrs Coutts lied, then I see no reason why she should keep her job.
OK, she told the BBC man at a dinner party as gossip, not to parliamentarians under commons rules of probity, but she fibbed and was found out.
First of all Boris Johnson is a liar. Then he committed an unambiguous breach of the rules when he failed to get permission from the ministerial appointments watchdog before taking a job as a Daily Mail columnist.

So I'm not going to read his comedy column. If there is any substance, a proper journalist will have something to say about it.
The news from Mrs Coutts to the BBC man was that Boris lost his account due to insufficient funds.
Then the minutes from the meeting are got under an FOI request, and we learn from the meeting he was removed because of his repugnant views.
She lied.
My take: He didn't have enough money in his account for Coutts to have the bother to deal with any collateral damage caused by his views and values.

Unlike, say, some rich people who were connected members of the Saudi hit team that murdered Jamal Khashoggi.

A very commercial slant on company values ...
Did Johnson lose his account as well as Farage?
No, barry. There's a bit of befuddling going on here.

.
Thanks, Naomi
Gromit //...but she fibbed and was found out.//

I think though, she will be reluctant to fall on her sword;

"How much is Dame Alison Rose getting paid?

Last year, her pay packet was £5.25 million, a big chunk of that courtesy of the taxpayer, who owns 39 per cent of NatWest (and thus Coutts) since its bailout during the 2008 financial crisis."
That was her bonus, Khandro. Probably another £2m in ‘wages’.
