Nigel Farage Vs Coutts...part 94.
Coutts have offered to reinstate Nigel Farage’s bank accounts:

Of the 40 page dossier the bank compiled on Mr Farage, it is said that “Ultimately it concludes the former Brexit Party leader's views are ‘at odds with our position as an inclusive organisation’.”
I wonder if the bank’s interim chief Executive is now added to the list of all those who are wrong are still wrong (whilst one esteemed member on here and a woman on YouTube are still right).

Hymie; //If such a meeting takes place, Coutts/ NatWest should invite me to attend, // Yes, that will really put the wind up them.

A bank should not be able to, johhny, because poor government has made banking facilities a necessary service in present day society. It, the bank, therefore, must treat all fairly. It is not some retailer who has more leeway in opting not to agree a trade deal. A supplier of vital services must have obligations to all in society, especially where that particular industry all try to ban the same individual and keep their reasons to themselves.
OG, you are correct. It is pretty nigh on impossible to live in todays society without a bank account. Cant even get your dole in cash.
So the Banking licence needs to be written such that Banks cannot close or refuse to open an account.
Having said that the account they should be 'forced' to open should be basic banking with debit card (like an under 18 account). Credit facilities, card or loan should still be at the discretion of the Bank.
Where an individual falls foul of AML or similar the account should only be closed if Plod are involved and it should be a Court decision. Banks should not be Judge and Jury.

Most European countries have national banks

Since the Post Office Bank was nationalised Britain no longer has one, is it time to form one?

//The legitimate reason to close the accounts was Brexit//
How is that legitimate?

I think you are a little confused, Naomi.
Hymie was referring to the people who live outside the UK (in an EU country) and held a UK bank account. Depending where they live, some have had to make alternative banking arrangements.

//So back to my original question; is Farage now going to campaign on behalf of all those fools who voted for Brexit and lost their bank accounts as a result?//
The original question is not yours, it's mine. Your supplementary question has nothing to do with mine. The Farage/Coutts affair has nothing to do with people who had to change their banking arrangements following Brexit and it's simply a diversion away from the original point (which, in case it passed you by, was composed with you in mind),
So how about you answer that first?

Gina Miller’s account was opened in error – the bank in question does not allow accounts of political parties. Once the bank became aware of the error (I’m not sure whether Gina Miller was not fully forthcoming about the account purpose, or the bank failed to read her application), they closed the account.
I doubt very much that this idiot will persuade her bank to re-open an account which is against their stated rules (even if it was the bank’s fault in originally opening the account) – but what with fools believing every word this liar says, who knows.
