This Govt will hike up interest rates again this week for the 14th consecutive time.
The Tories are saying ,"To get inflation under control we have to make the public ...Poor..They have to have less money or it will not work...........But it won't affect MPs of course.

The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee [MPC] sets the interest rate, not the government.

Getting back to the OP .There is real panick among Tory MPs that interest rates will be will still be high at the next GE, which is not very far away and this fact could be the End of the Tories for quite some time.

When inflation starts to rise, we do not have many tools at our disposal says one Tory MP .We just have to sit back and wait for the medicine to work.
