I have. I guess in the past the heroin addiction in Edinburgh spread HIV. Then that was a death sentence. Now, with needle exchanges and treatment, it isn't as dangerous as it once was.
I think it may be to do with poverty, dispair, and a lack of hope that leads addicts take chances with their lives.
It's the soul crushing envy of the English, the cruel torment when they realise that they almost made it.
