That's not my point. My point is that you've correctly pointed out that the Conservatives have won for more GEs than Labour.
That being the case, then the Conservatives need to shoulder a larger proportion of the blame for poor governance.
The Department of Education warned that 300 to 400 schools needed urgent remedial work when Sunak was Chancellor. He instead allocated funds for 50 school renovations per year.
At some point, people will have to say - the is the fault of the Conservatives and stop this 'footballisation" of politics - where you look blame everyone but your team.
Sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes your team just sucks.

School budgets don’t work like that. Schools do not get to determine how their capital budgets are spent. These are specifucally for infrastructure projects.
You don’t have school districts and heads deciding to cut maintenance budgets to fund so-called fashionable agendas.
Here, you can read up on school funding:

My mate Phil explains what an absolute disaster this is for the Tories in the youtube video.
Should the unthinkable happen and some poor child loses their life as a result of this continuing fiasco, the blame will fall fairly & squarely on Sunak and the incompetent Tory government.
[Oh, remember those 40 new hospitals Boris promised]

The Government should ask for a complete schedule of all maintenance work carried out on schools, with receipts and schedule of works carried out, for every school that has received funds for the upkeep of the buildings. No extra funding should be forthcoming until this is carried out. If it is evident that maintenance budget funding has been diverted to support un budgeted "schemes" then prosecutions are called for.
Not even the grossly incompetent government ministers trying to defend their incompetence would dare make such a claim that it is the fault of previous governments.
And as TTT would helpfully point out, Labour has won so few elections, all our current ills can be fairly and squarely blamed on the current incompetent Tory government.

no administration looks further forward than the next election. giving infrastructure a "maintenance holiday" is a quick win for any administration as it instantly saves cash, and defers any issues arising for the next administration to sort out.
perhaps "fault" is too strong a word. but guilty knowledge predates the current administration, even if you accept it's been in place since 2010.

Any competent Government would have already been doing that on an ongoing basis. Why don't you think it's already done that way, and do you have evidence?

You missed the relevant bit of my post out of the repeat. I would imagine that rather than have to micro manage every aspect of running a school or educational programme most adult Government officials would trust that those responsible in the local school authority administration would be doing their(well paid) jobs properly. Micro management is after all a socialist construct that is reserved for the Orwellian dystopia that they so crave. If there has been mismanagement of the maintenance budgets, or evidence of deliberate misdirection of funds, then I repeat. Prosecutions should follow. Just as I predicted yesterday I see that the Labour stalwarts on Anglesey are insisting that it is a central Government responsibility and "nuffin to do wiv us guv". They of course just had the money. Plenty of rainbow themed paint jobs around mind.
