Quelle surprise – Boris should never be given responsibility over the stationary cupboard, let alone the country.

Hi me

so true so true - ! I am surprised there isnt a communal scream from the usual suspects that 1. you have said it all before, ad infinitum ( that is for Latin-haters amonst us) and 2. it is onviously untrue in that

3. St Boris is a living saint and can do no  wrong

good luck

oo-er only me...

where are they all

//In May 2020, as the government was grappling with the pandemic, there were significant tensions between Mr Johnson's political team and the Civil Service.//

Brexit and a Civil Service that was - and still is - anti-Brexit.  Quelle surprise!

Question Author

Despite Boris being the worst Prime Minister the country has ever had – there are still ABers who support him.

kell surpreez ( bitta French there) that faceless officials tell the Queen Something Must be Done? yes it is.

it is portrayed in the Crown - but I am not sure that is true. 1956 I think. George V favoured Lord Curzon ( he was a king earlier in the last century) in 1936 as PM but his Lordhip himself said that The Lords was now (then) not a place for a PM

Question Author

Boris, in winning that accolade, is up against some recent stiff competition (May, Truss & Sunak).

//there are still ABers who support him.//

That's because they, very sensibly, disagree with you, Hymie.

Hymie @ 08 37 Most Boris supporters on Ab were radicalised by Johnson, from the start, especially  some of the female members. And  others need to go to spec savers to correct their tunnel vision.

//Despite Boris being the worst Prime Minister the country has ever had//

Worse than Truss or Thatcher? Or even Duke of Wellington

Brexit and a Civil Service that was - and still is - anti-Brexit.

I think you have to cope with the fact that 48% voted against ( Naomi's stat, so it must be true!)

Oh come now Hymie. Not only was Boris one of the best PMs we ever had, you have clearly forgotten about Margaret Thatcher.

Or Ted Heath who got us into the mess without asking the public, and then lied to them about what the CM was in order to get approval after the event.

PP, you're rambling again.  I haven't said anything about stats.

In May 2020, as the government was grappling with the pandemic, - and grappled so badly they are now inquiring into the mistakes

but hey during all this, St Boris was grappling with Carrie and made a baby! phew he can do  something right !

radicalised by Johnson, from the start, especially  some of the female members..... mesmerised by his hypnotic manner and tow-hair. Unlucky women, their fate was worse than Russell Brand's - they got BREXIT !

PP, you're rambling again.  I haven't said anything about stats.

noop erm I am sure you did - "48% voted against - they lost and have to get over it...." - I wd quite understand if you said that you had never said such a thing as it was stupid. "did" covers the last  ... 7 y

Or Ted Heath who got us into the mess without asking the public

well he told the commissioners ( they are the ones who negotiated the possible treaty and then the govt says 'yes' or  'no') - to get us in no matter what.....

and THAT endgendered the great big British contribution

OP. Not sure if Boris could manage the stationary cupboard on his own .Maybe the afternoon tea trolley.

PP, You keep an archive on me going back seven years?  You need help.

It isn't democracy if, especially in peacetime, government makes such a massive change that it has our nation capitulating to a foreign block and giving away our sovereignty. Any system that allows that is clearly flawed and it's immoral to use that loophole. Claiming it was a trading issue only is beyond the Pale.
