Labour has demanded that The Cons explain who knew that Bamford was under a Tax investigation while still taking donations from him, and will the party return the Millions of pounds if HMRC find wrongdoing.?

I know it seems very unfair to bring this into the news  on the eve of the Conservative Party Conference, as The Cons would not do that to Labour ,would they ?

The Inland Revenue has been sniffing around JCB for 10 years. Everyone knew. There was a court case brought by the other Bamford brother about their mother leaving her share in JCB Research to Anthony Bamford.  
Anthony Bamford settled out of court to keep the financial details secret.

If HMRC decide tax is owed, Bamford will have to pay it. What he does in the future with his vast fortune is up to him. Though bankrolling the party in opposition might to be of any future advantage.

During all this time of Bamfords investigation Johnson and Truss have taken Donations and Gifts .As Cameron said,"We are all in this together".You just bet they are.

Precisely - and that has nothing to do with donations to a political party or anywhere else.  This question is ridiculous.

The point is. If the Cons knew about Bamfords tax investigation and he is Guilty , then the Tories have dirty money on their hands. But I don't think that will bother them little bit.

gulliver, don't be ridiculous.  His donations have no bearing on his tax affairs.  You'll be demanding that any charities he supports return the money next!   Cough up Cancer Research!   You may rest assured that he can afford to both donate where he sees fit - and pay the taxman whatever he owes - should that be necessary.

If the donation is dirty money so is every other pound he spends whetger its at M&s, John Lewis,  hairdressers, charity, paying his staff,  flights and holidays, bank charges, etc. Should they all hand it back as dirty money? Of course no...Its a silly point gulliver. If he owes the tax man.. if...then it's his problem and am sure he'll find it.

What worries me is where all these leaks are coming from, it strikes me as sinister and malevolent. I dont normally buy into conspiracy theories but.......
