I'm not hoping anything i'm predicting that Labour will not get their boots into no 10. If it is hung the most likely outcome is the Tories will do a deal with the Ulster unionists. Labour/SNP/Lib Non Dems have all poo pood any sort of deal. A Labour majority is now very unlikely.
No one can predict the outcome of the next election and the polls are notoriously so often wrong but if anyone thinks Labour have it in the bag, or even that it will result in a coalition they could be sadly mistaken. The prospect of both Labour and LibDems surreptitiously shoehorning us back into the EU together with their stance on illegal immigration will ring alarm bells. I think Mr Starmer has shown his hand far too soon for his own good - and the undemocratic LibDems (slogan *** to Brexit) are a disgrace. Watch that space.
Everyone ignores the elephant, that is looming, in the room. Reform intend to, and have been putting the ducks in place, contest hundreds of seats at the next GE. They will definitely attract millions of disaffected populist voters and all the seriously concerned anti illegal immigration vote. There are still twists to straighten out. Not least of which being, would either of the terrible two broker a deal for power with them if it became necessary. Ignore the polls, they long ago became a tool to affect the vote and have been used for decades to influence the hard of reasoning to vote for what they are told will be the winning side. Those very same ditherers have now, due to the influence of the web and faster communications that are not controlled by vested interests, become more inclined to vote agains the predicted winner just to be contrary.
18:57, gromit remember your 2019 prediction?

remember this little gem?
"But talk of a 100 seat majority for Boris is laughable, " - ok not 100 but 80!

That will harm the Tories, not the LibDems or Labour. I hope they do takes votes from the Tories. Rather like the SDP in the '80s enabled the Conservatives for 2 General Elections.
Bring it on 👍👍
I was thinking about this the other day: who would do a deal with the tories? Only the DUP probably and they are a waning force in NI politics: they only have eight MPs now as it is so the numbers in all likelihood would not work out.
Were the conservatives by some miracle to end up forming a minority government thr chances are it would soon collapse and Labour might well get over the line in a fresh election.
