For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Many people who may vote Labour at the next GE will do so in the expectation that all the problems which they blame the Tories for will be fixed by Sir Keir Starmer and his mates. It's not their fault because many of them will have no idea what it's like living under a Labour government, and even fewer will know what it's like living under a "proper" Labour government (the last of which was voted out in 1979).
It will take one term of Parliament at least for all of them to be fully disappointed. They may go on to give Labour a second chance (being as how "the Tories left the country in such a mess").
So I would not be surprised to see Labour spend two terms in office. It's strange that the country might go this way just as many countries on the Continent are realising that the liberal Social Democratic type of administration does the vast majority of the electorate any favours whatsoever, but such is politics.
The country really has quite a big decision to make. My usual philosophy of not believing anything that any politicians tell me will be of little use to many younger voters as they haven't learnt that lesson. They prefer instead to believe what the politicians think they want to hear. The problem is that if it makes the wrong one, those of us who have seen what a Labour government does to the country may only be able to say "Told you so" for quite some time.
