There is always a problem when one side has organised forces,in uniform (mostly) and the other side don't and therefore can't be distinguished from the civilian population,   in these situations they accept the death of civilians as part of the process of attracting sympathy for their cause by reinforcing the idea of the enemy as heavy handed and disproportionate in their conduct of the conflict.

I find it quite concerning that Hamas has said if Gaza is attacked without warning it will kill hostages.  Israel has dropped leaflets advising of imminent attack and advising people to move south but Hamas is telling the population that it's all propaganda and to stay put.   It follows that the outcome of that will be civilian deaths, images of which will be beamed across the world as evidence of Israeli brutality.  Meanwhile in other areas of the world, Islamic leaders are rallying Muslims in support - and still the useful idiots of the West march.

At the moment there is no eidence that Israel or Hamas attcked the convoy on the safe route. The Israeli forces are investigating. But the incident happened on Friday and it is now Sunday and they haven't yet cleared their own forces and blamed Hamas.
