Edgeware has a large Jewish community, so I would say that posting hostage posters there would be acceptable. 
It should not be police work to remove them, and I cannot see how such actions are preventing any future civil unrest.

It seems the business that had been covered with the posters had been deliberately targetted, and the owner complained to the police.

//  The posters were put up late on Saturday night. We received at least two calls about it from local residents. 

They believed the posters were put on these specific shutters as a retaliation for comments about the conflict between Israel and Hamas that were made on social media by a person associated with the business.

It appears print outs of those comments may also have been put up next to the posters.

Both people who reported the posters to us were concerned that it would escalate an already tense situation. Officers went to the shop and acting in good faith they removed the posters in an effort to prevent any such escalation. //

prior to this war hamas started if  youd taken down a poster perhaps about a muslim event  you saw on a lampost theyd be  on you like flies  on schite and doing you for a hate crime...

If (and this is a big IF) this was a shop which was clearly owned by muslims, plastering it with hostage posters is clearly going to cause more problems than it would solve.  Whether it is a police issue is another question- but their job is to keep the peace.  I would think if a jewish shop were to be covered in "Free Palestine" stickers this would also be unacceptable.

It is controlled by the left wing and islamist supporters It will not be long now before there are enough in the UK to form their own political faction which will be under the control of the Iranian mullahs. REmember when a man flees from war he takes his wife and family with him. When he leaves home intent on war he goes alone. Are you teaching your grandchildren to be ready?

The Net are simply failing to do the right thing in their effort to meet their priorities. For them it's easier to prevent the small peaceful group from upsetting the large noisy group and triggering major incidents, than it is controlling the large antisocial group. It sends a loud message as to how to behave in order to sideline your critics.
