Get AI to do the jobs, tax the business owners who now accumulate more £££s having reduced staff levels & costs, pay it back out in welfare payments to those no longe employed and on 100% leisure time. What's not to like ?
Britains super rich Prime Minister Rishi says he wants the country to replicate the entrepreneurial culture of places like "Silicon Valley" Where people are unafraid to give up the security of a regular pay cheque ,and go and start something up ,and be comfotable with failure. You've got to be comfortable with failing and knowing that's just part of the process. ...Yes Mr Sunack you and your Tory Cronies will know all about Failure at The next GE.
I think Mr Sunak is like all politicians, he wants to be seen as inventive and forward-looking, with initiatives for the good of the country.
The fact that his initiatives are based on seriously dubious premises - such as stopping the production of pretrol cars by 2035, and now using the latest sexy sbject - AI - to sound cutting edge, even though his notion is untried and highly likely to fall over within a very short time.
I believe the electorate would applaud any PM who is seen to be trying to address the issues that affect them directly - energy bills, taxes, the education and health services.
People are far more interested in those points than the idea that they may be able not to be able to afford a driverless car which no-one appears to actually want anyway.
