I figure we have a moral obligation. However one could consider that we already gave them training and a nation ought to defend itself rather than flee and expect refuge. Still, yes, if we said we'd valued their contribution and would take them, then we should, as an exception not a precedent.

For a monument there, I thought perhaps people were getting wise to the lies of the likes of Johnson, Farage, Sunak etc.

There may be reasons as to why some didn't make it to the UK but our government surely has an obligation to these people.

If that is the full story then that's bang out of order.

We have a moral obligation here.  It needs to be publicised.

Just watching a news item on this, who is making these decisions? No one seems to know on the news reports.

ARAP apparently....don't seem to be very consistent.

It's a pity they didn't have someone like Joanna Lumley to promote their cause.

She did a great job for Ghurkas a year or so ago.

I thought of her too, sandy. It's as if moral obligations aren't enough, people only act when they're shamed into it.
