I guess the same could be said of countries.

Why aren't the Israelis letting independent journalists into Gaza?

I meant (although I realise now it wasn't clear) that JB doesn't exactly come over as independent. On the contrary, from what I've seen he comes across as quite anti-Israel.

This Palestinian journalist until quite recently was reporting from Gaza for the BBC.  He has now left the territory but says some of his BBC Arabic colleagues are still there.

Sandy. I've obviously missed your post where you support hamas or indeed isis .

Question Author

That support exists only in the minds of three of the usual suspects.

I'll not name and shame them but they know who they are

anneasquith, I've never seen sandyRoe say he supports ISIS and I've never seen anyone suggest that.

Calling baby roasters/beheaders "freedom fighters" counts as support in my book.

Question Author

Haha.

If I didn't know you were a wind-up merchant I'd think you rather sad, obsessing about roasted and decapitated babies.

Are we talking of those 3 usual suspects that post the same thing all the time?  Boring aren't they!

12:21 sadder still to support the perps of such acts.

Question Author

No, I wouldn't say so.  We're a broad church here.  Room for all opinions

//To offer balance to the BBC they could give permits to representives of , say, The Jewish Chronical//

But then we are back in the he said you said territory.

//I may be wrong, but does JB not report from Jerusalem ?//

Regardless of views Jerusalem is not a war zone like Gazza is. Whilst in some wars we see correspondents on the frot line Gazza is a bit of a problem being a small area, plus the 'front line' at the moment appears to be the tunnels.  I dont think the IDF want anyone near a tunnel, they are extrmely dangerous places and to have a journalist killed (from whatever view point) would be disatrous.

does country lover include  himself in this ?

ter-daah !

I try to bring the thread back on topic and back again it goes.

at least we are getting to the idea that what is coming out of Gaza ( halcyon calm/nuclear desert) isnt the complete truth

cameras and phones run on electricity, and there isnt any ( along with shelt and water) in Gaza

toratoratora - address the points sandyRoe makes only.

Personal comments made about any of your fellow ABers sympathies or loyalties will result in a suspension.

Wait, Secret Mod, people often reveal more about themselves when they're abusing others.  It would be a shame if they were deprived of that opportunity.

Regardless of views Jerusalem is not a war zone like Gazza is.

and what does his friend Jimmy Five Bellies Gardner say about all this?

Bringing the thread back to Gazza, is the wrong target innit?

The leaked videos ( of half naked hamas terrorists - thousands of them!) I think are leaked by reservists who are thinking, "what on earth are we doing here? this is not even Israel".

If I were a reservist I wd be thinking, "I am doing this because netanyahu wishes to retain power and everything else is subsidiary"

I agree the voices on the dead Gazan children(*) side are muted enough without further threats...

(*) sozza oops this is AB - er dead young Hamas terrorists, that is!

13:05, does that go for everyone?

...just this subject or everything?
