Hungary's view is:

Russia will win and we want to be on the winning side when it does !

Surely Hungary's view is:

Russia can't win but we want to be a pariah with them when it ends.

To me they seems to be a lot less interest/ importance/ urgency all round. But I surpose it never takes long for cracks to appear in a new build.

It'll be fine

Bulgaria just announced a huge (for its GDP) aid package for Ukraine. Perhaps the answer is for individual countries to do that and then get reimbursed. Orban is a notorious shill for Putin and always has been. In that respect nothing has changed

Good news from Bulgaria .

Its that slimey grin on Putins face I'd like to see removed for good.

^and the rest of him with it!

Hungary is probably trying to get the money from the EU that they have so far withheld.  'Pay up and we'll not use our veto'.  Also they are not averse to supporting Putin to keep him from their door.

That's exactly what they're trying to do: but I wouldn't trust them beyond that.
