It saddens me to hear people condemn israel for defending itself when it's surrounded by hostile neighbours,the people of israel are hard working trying to make a good life for themselves,instead off tryingto kill them why don't the people of palestine copy them and try to make life better for themselves,but no they would sooner build tunnels instead of schools,hospitals,water treatment plants,and power stations to become self sufficient and not rely on israel for its power and water supplies,thats it from me sandyRoe make of it what you wish but that is my opinion,have a good evening.

frip-frip - a lot of us would go for that answer. Get on with your own lives, improve your country and let others be neutral.

Very sadly, the world doesn't seem to work like that, not for long anyway.  At the moment we have very many countries/factions attacking and  striving  to impose their will/beliefs on others.

Peaceful co-existence/disagreement would be lovely - but that would be utopian. I am fairly certain that the UK will be fighting for its soul before too long - neutrality cannot prevail, alas.

In this year, before the Gaza business, nearly 300 Palestinians were murdered by settlers.  There are 750,000 squatters now in the West Bank.  Every one of them is on Palestine land.

Any thoughts on that?
