The Met Police are now investigating the Post Office for  possible fraud offences and the experts used in trials are being investigated for possible perjury and perverting the course of justice.

Police were called at the onset of this scandal and with the evidence supplied by a Post Office 'investigator' found him lacking in any evidence whatsoever to warrant an arrest for Theft or Fraudulent accounting.The police advised the 'investigator that what he had told them amounted to no more than a Civil case whereby Police do not prosecute but the Post Office can. At that time this was one of the first incidents of Horizon malfunctioning and the P.O. deliberately kept it quiet so they could go it alone without answering to other investigation departments. They deliberately obstructed anyone who had a vested interest in discovering what lies and bullying and menaces the P.O. were using.

Tomus42: 00:01 yes that's the power of TV reaching millions and creating a seething anger . It forces the authorities to act. This show was doen so well that even people that didn't know about it now are amazed at what hapenned and are asking the questions about the illegality of the PO's actions. Sir Ed is a minor bit player. The scandal took place under a Labour government when Adam Crozier was in charge at the Post Office. The cover up and lies were continued under the Tory Government when Paula Vennells was in charge at the Post Office. The Tory, James Arbuthnot, did a great job of getting the miscarriage of justice overturned ... but how on earth was Paula Vennells given a CBE in 2019 for services to the Post Office, under a Tory Government? Nothing to do with Ed Davey ...
