Rishi Sunak has been Warned by the (ONS) That the UK is heading to swell it's  population figure to 74 MILLION,in the next few years. And are urging him to take action now to reduce these figures.But he says he has reduced the flow of boat people already...Think he means Tory style ..Bending the truth. Was it Boris who said the UK would control it's own borders after Brexit.?

The UK is controlling its own borders bar the boat people. But they make up just a small percentage of the total the government is allowing to settle here legally (i.e. under its control). That figure was 1.2m last year, meaning those arriving by small boat (i.e. not under its control) amount to about 2.5% of the total.

But I'm sure you know this as well as I do. Either that or you are displaying a remarkable ignorance of the UK's affairs for one who makes such a study of them.

you could say a problem made worse by schengen, although the uk was not signed up to, being able to traverse europe without any visa or checks, that was a green light to migrants, no boats were prevented from embarking let alone the ones rescued, that should have been stopped, eu laws created the problem, as did merkels invite all and sundry, gigantic mistakes that have ruined europe and the uk and also ireland...migrants there too.
