Baynes has been having problems too.  Two Sundays in a row my card was rejected, and then the guys after me had the same problem.

I had cash but that will not always be the case.

Where as I have embraced the new ways I also make sure I have some bangers with me at all times. Occasionally the local bar I go to has this problem and you should see all the saucepans nonplussed when I get out a mysterious peice of paper and I can buy drinks!

According to reports not so.  For some reason Greggs were not taking cash.  You could get a Deliveroo though apparenlty.

Careful TTT, I think I might know where you work from that post - and I've been in there myself!  

I dont understand why cash isnt used, personally I always use it in Pubs/bars after horrendus nights in Champaign bars many many years ago with the Gold Amex let loose.

Seems mad that shops need to close when lots still have cash in their pocket. It looks like the world can come to a halt with this tec business, it need reconcidering in many ways. Lets face it the banks can stop you getting at your cash withe press of a button??

This round of problems sofar seem to be down to a dodgy implementation of software.  It happens, been there seen it, done and got many T-shirts (and sleepless ights).

IMHO Cash and tech should live side by side as much as possible.

The problem is without tech you food shopping (and many other things) would cost an awful lot more, something you seem to not like on another thread.

They were going for cashless a fe years ago ( easy to follow moolah and money laundering etc)
