Their thinking is very disturbing to say the least. They need to be put somewhere for a very long time so their thinking and intentions will no longer concern anyone or anything. 5 years jail is really not going to wipe out this guys thinking.

I do wish I hadn't read that, I feel rather sick.  5yrs is nowhere near enough.  Life in solitary confinement might be a start.

Before casting the first stone ,let's look at what occurs in the UK. 

Badger baiting. 

Hare coursing. 

Fox hunting. 

Digging out fox cubs, then throwing them to the hounds in front of a child.

Poisoning birds of prey. 

The use of snares.

All done to quench the blood lust of people who like to see animals suffer!

No 5 years isn't enough, even if they serve the full term. Anyone that warped has to be a threat to society and needs institutionalising for life. All involved need to be taken out of society for the protection of all.

I am sure there are better examples, but I believe animal abuse in children can be found in adults who display violent behaviour. though I beliefe in the idea of redemption, I am not so sure that that is likely with offenders of "monkey torture" so should they be jailed for longer or until deemed no longer a risk within society.
