It may actually help.

The Conservatives have blocked this legislation being implemented in Scotland. If the Conservatives lose the election then the ban can be unblocked. So doing their best to lose seats to Labour, and making Labour General Election winners, will further aims. 😀

Barmy.

But er…

“Labour have indicated that they would not repeal the section 35 order if they formed the next UK government.”

Of course, whether you can believe that or not is anybody’s guess. I have made it very plain to readers that they should not base their vote on what politicians tell them - especially when it is something they say they will or will not do if elected. But some people do.

Just as an aside:

“Representatives of Out for Independence, the official LGBTQ+ wing of the SNP,….”

Why does any political party require a “LGBTQ+” wing?

To separate them as special from the ordinary roasters of the parish.

Must confuse things even more if the lie gets legally accepted north of the border yet south of it the truth is legally recognised instead. They'd have to switch pronouns every time they left their fantasy land.

Sounds like it's the politicians who qualify as "special".

Oh they are, OG, never was a collection of self-important town councillors so over-promoted.

to be fair to the SNP (not sure you should....), but similar legislation is in place in 11 European countries including the Irish Republic and Norway, and in parts of Canada, US and Australia. so far as I know, none of these places have been adversely affected by it.

Doesn't make lying & deceit, nor encouraging same, right, no matter how many mistaken areas of the world legislate for it.

If all your mates all jumped off a cliff would you decide it right to do so too.
