I don't think they're on the breadline just yet, Tora:

Anyway, all the doctors and engineers arriving here in small boats need not fret too much. All they have to do is to pop across on the ferry from Liverpool to Belfast (at about thirty quid, much cheaper - and considerably more comfortable - than the rubbr boat crossing) and they're home and dry:

(Rwanda Threat Not Working ? Right!) ...You are quite Right TTT . It is Not working. Between May 4th and today May 13th Over 1,000 people have crossed the channel. Making a grand total of 6.265 That have crossed the channel this year .Up by nearly a quarter compared with the same period last year. You are spot on the Rwanda threat is not working.Maybe you should have a day off to get over it .🤣
The Rwanda policy is based on it being a deterrent. People will not illegally come here if they know they will be deported.
And how is that working out? The plan was announced in 2022. Since then:
45,774 arrived in 2022
29,437 arrived in 2023
9,445 have arrived so far this year.
It is not proving to be a deterrent.
To add insult to injury, apparently we are offering £500 refunds to illegals who don't like it here.
it wasn't a deterrent while your trobiscite mates were blocking everything now it is.
1) People are paying people smugglers to go back to france
2) People smugglers are moaning that business is drying up
3) Those here are going to Ireland to avoid being sent to Rwanda.
The new law has made it a deterrent, end of.
123,800 illegal immigrants have arrived under this Government.
The one plane chatered to fly to Rwanda had 17 deportees on it.
At that rate it would take 7,282 fights to rid us of this problem. How much would that cost?
The Governments failure to make progress on this will be the primary reason they will lose votes to Reform, pissibly losing the next election.
