It's obviously untrue, but I do believe he'll be devastated if he wins, and would resign soon after anyway. He's ticked his PM box, and now wants to do other things, like Boris.

it's not totally implausible: I was reading the other day how John Major was assuring MPs they were in with a chance, but then they found Norma was alreay shipping the furniture out.

It wouldn't be amazing, or wrong, if Sunak was planning ahead too. Embarrassing if it was found out, but he must be pretty immune to embarrassment by now.

Sunak met his wife while they were both studying at Stanford University in the US. So they have both lived there, and it is entirely feasable that they both would go back sometime.  
Their two daughters are now 13 and 11 years old and both have been privately educated in the UK. I would assume the parents are already planning which universities they would like their children to attend.  
It is with that in mind that the Sunak's will be planning their future in the event that he loses the election or he resigns as Conservative Party leader.

It is inconceivable that he has no future plans that cover all eventualities of the outcome of the General Election.

There you go then. Sunak off to the sunny uplands of Califonia. Booking his kids into a nice safe private school . And sod the joe public kids he plunged into poverty when he messed up The UK.... Let's get Starmer, Rayner and Their Labour team in -Power and start the difficult task of            Re building  the Britain the Tories wrecked.. That's if there's any money left.
