Lots of areas in Europe have better weather than the UK (this was also true before Brexit) and sun-starved Brits like to go and enjoy it.
However, not everyone wants sun/sand/sea and rather than blame Brexit for the indifferent weather we usually enjoy, they make the most of staycations in the UK.
And don't infer that we are expensive down here as to a cottage. It's not as if Czech R is short of a few £1k/week homes to rent for a holiday. Just one site needed to find them - look at the map, prices are per night.

DTC, gulliver's 'insults' of that nature say more about him than his targets - and Brits experiencing travel delays to the rest of Europe is news - every holiday season.
