Is David Tennant The Problem?
//Rishi Sunak has intervened in a deepening row between Kemi Badenoch and David Tennant over LGBTQ+ rights, appearing to brand the actor “the problem”.
The Doctor Who star said he wished the women and equalities minister would “shut up” and suggested he hoped for a world in which she “doesn’t exist anymore”, while she fired back that he was a “bigot”.
The prime minister waded in on the spat on Wednesday morning, writing on X, formerly Twitter: “Freedom of speech is the most powerful feature of our democracy. If you’re calling for women to shut up and wishing they didn’t exist, you are the problem.”//
Why should Kemi Badenoch and other women standing up for women's rights shut up? I used to like David Tennant.

This is an unfortunate by-product of our celebrity-obsessed society - we empower famous people as though their fame automatically makes them wiser, and their views more important and valid.
It doesn't, and we should start being more aware that being a famous actor does not automatically hoist your moral compass onto a higher plane, or make you less prone to being an ignorant bigot, it just gives you an unjustified platform to share your pointless opinions with the rest of us.
dave - // Why are the vast majority of actors/musicians/artists lefties? What is it with them, why are they afraid to stand up and support normal thinking people? Who are they afraid of? //
Because they have a level of empathy and appreciation of life outside themselves, which are essential to form a personality with any level of creativity in it.
If by 'normal thinking people' you mean people who think as you do, there is rather more to the world than that.
NAOMI, "he said he wishes the women and the minister would shut up".
The link states,
'The Doctor Who star said he wished the women and equalities minister would “shut up” and suggested he hoped for a world in which she “doesn’t exist anymore”, while she fired back that he was a “bigot”.'
He wasn't referring to woman AND the equalities minister, he was refering to one person, the Minister for Women and Equalities.
If he been referring to women AND the minister, why did he wish that only she did not exist and not include the women he had wished would "shut up"?

The idea behind his statement being that he hoped that there would eventually be no need for an 'Equalities Minister' is fair enough, but he didn't help his case by stating that anyone at all should 'shut up'.
Free speech gives him a platform, he should not be keen to use it to deny the same to others.
The eldest son is non-binary? So the 20-something son his wife had before they met and he adopted? So the so-called "transing up" isn't any kind of child abuse as hinted at in previous posts here, but just showing support to his adult son on a personal matter of gender fluidity?
My God, the man's a monster.

......Also available at Waterstones, in the children’s history section, is a jolly cartoon book by Emilie Dufresne called Pride in Sport (reading age seven-11 years), which celebrates gay athletes throughout history. The martial arts fighter Fallon Fox, a man who identifies as a woman, is pictured as a smiling young cartoon girl. He has a speech bubble: ‘It’s not about the genitals… it’s not the chromosomes. It’s the thing located inside the cranium!’ What the real Fallon actually said, after he cracked two female opponents’ skulls, was: ‘See, I love smacking up TERFS in the cage!’
