I have looked up Chartreuse and ice cream and you can actually make Chartreuse ice cream and as it is flavoured with herbs it will certainly have  a distinctive flavour so I guess that is probably the right answer.Not one easily known so thank you elliemay.Also thank you to everyone who has come up with an answer as quiz now complete.
