Maybe its me,but seems to me that a Beatles tribute band getting back together again takes precedence over more major events in the world.Anyone else feel the same?

if you failed to secure tickets in yeterday's Ticketmaster gouge-fest, fear not, for there's a DIY way for you to enjoy that Gallagher Brothers experience - se up 2 life size cardboard cutouts of Noel and Liam in your back yard, drink warm beer, play Slade singles at 33rpm, and set fire to £400 each.

It’s the usual dumbing down that the Media inflict upon us.

It's Madness I tells ya! - oh wait, no it's not...

Does every news item have to be deep and serious?

But there were millions hanging on phones for hours.

The media try to reflect the interests of the people they represent.

Some people are interested in the very serious events taking place in the world. Others are most interested in pop music.  The remainder find time to be interested in both.

I find that perfectly normal.

Who else apart from The Odious Two are going to be in 'Oasis'?  Who's going to be playing bass, drums, the other guitar - or is that irrelevant?

By all means let Oasis fans / obsessives spend their money following their heroes.

Why are the rest of us who are not remotely interested have to suffer all the nonsense on every news programme. They are only getting back together for the money, not the fans.

If you open thew papers or switch on the news, you will see stories abou the Paralympics, the spread of mpox, the Grenfell Tower enquiry and the Gaza hostages.

The news coverages home, international, sport and entertainments stories.

Oasis reuniting is a big story for many, as was the break-up of the Spice Girls and the Blur/Oasis fight for number one in the 90s. These stories both made the evening news.

There will be a spike in interest for a few days and then everying will settle down again...like when the Eras tour came to the UK...big interest then people moved one.

Some people need to lighten up a bit.

Thanks for putting us at ease, it means a lot.

Makes a change from constantly reading about Taylor Swift

This is what I never understand...why bother reading about anything you're not interested about? It's soooo incredibly easy to avoid.

For instance, I have zero in tennis - so when Wimbledon is on, I just shrug and turn the telly over. There'll be news articles on tv and in the papers, but again - easily avoided.

Some might say the non-fans are the ones making the biggest deal about it.

It's not easily avoided when it's one of the main news stories on national TV news bulletins - and for several days

What we need is an oasis of calm.

I defintely....well, maybe....don't take any notice of it. My mantra is, "Whatever, just roll with it."

D'you know what i mean?

Surely it is the paucity of decent pop music nowadays that these pair of non-entity poltroons are making the headlines in the newspapers. They must be running out of money.

Me @ 11;40. "Whatever, just roll with it."

20 mins later, while studying the cards, i see a horse by the name of 'Roll With It' due to line up in the 3.10 at Worcester. And, being the 'mug punter' i am (ask anybody) i threw a fiver in it's direction @ odds of 5/1. Won by 10 lengths😊
