I wonder if the Aber whose avatar labels Starmer as the Enemy of the People is aware of the source of the quote - Ibsen's play of that name where the eponymous guy is in fact the play's hero who saves the townsfolk from disaster.

Canary quotes The Ibsen play but it is not the title that is in the avatar concerned. I'd say your mate tried it on, screwed it up and is now too embarrassed to come back and face it, or heaven forbid apologise. Read the thread from top to bottom wolf and you'll see that canary is not the victim but the perp.
I had a nice role as the Head of the Householders’ Association and of the Temperance Society in our local production of Enemy of the People - my favourite line was :
"We shall proceed with the greatest moderation, Doctor.

I think there's a few prats on this website, and I have no doubt plenty of people think I'm a prat...I could be ganged-up on and insulted to high heaven for all I care, and I wouldn't give a tinker's cuss, and certainly wouldn't feel bullied.
Feeling bullied on an anonymous website is just plain daft.
