Labour getting hammered for their hypocrisy. They seem only to have one line - Variations on the supposed black hole £22bn. £21bn of which is their own doing, £9bn to the public sector pay claim  and £11.6bn to foreigners for "climate change initiatives" - none of them seem to be able to correlate that.

Simple logic, atheist.  We all knew that either the Conservatives or Labour would triumph so it's quite obvious that a vote for anything other than Conservative was, in effect, a vote for Labour, and by extension for the disaster that anyone with an iota of sense knew they would inflict upon the country.

BBC //The benefit will still be available to people in receipt of pension credit or other benefits, and No 10 is encouraging eligible pensioners to sign up.//

It's a fair bet that if all those qualified to claim did so it would cost the gov & local authorities many times the cost of the WFA. I damn well hope they do claim.

So do I, dave.  I'm not watching it.

I'm watching on NEWS 24 but It's also on the parliament channel (504 on sky)

Government won vote.  They will be happy ALL MP's keep their £3000 Heating Allowance, stuff the Pensioners, who voted for this lot?😩😩

Was predictable.

Interesting to discover how large any rebellion was.

Shame on them all.

OG,Too many cowardly abstainers.

Despicable

I don't know if they are idiots or they just treat the public as idiots but lets look at this £460. £92 will go back as income tax, £300 will replace the lost  WFA leaving an acual increase of £68 a year or roughly £1:30 a week, not even enough to buy one first class stamp.

apparently 52 Laour MPs had half a concience and abstained.

I suppose like others  I was able to help others with their bills from this money .I will find the money to keep on doing this to the best of my ability .What about the energy companies who will be getting millions of pounds less who going to help them ?

how many labour voters on aber's agreed with the decision i wonder.

Or, how many people who got WFA paid it to their energy company :0)

There's one answer to your question, fender.  Nicebloke finds humour in it.

Robber Reeves claimed £3,700 of taxpayer cash towards her energy bills over five years before axing winter fuel payments for millions of pensioners. Reeves and other Labour MPs spent more than £400,000 of taxpayer money heating their own homes over the past five years, with some claiming thousands a year more than a typical household spends. Wicked and conniving, hate fueled, without shame or guilt.

Just cross one or two items off the Xmas shopping bill, you should manage to scrap though :0)

^the voice of caring Labour.

Come the next scheduled election - if they get that far - this bunch of mean-spirited hypocrites will go out much quicker than they came in.
