Are you taking the pee!!!!!

You think motoring is cheap, you got to be having a laugh.

TTT believes private cars should only be available to the wealthy

TTT says this regularly...it's a way of getting people riled.

He is chortling away to himself

Motoring is not cheap - it is a major issue for us and others like us, where it is a necessity.

....I'm ok the Jaaag ain't on the list!

^and, jourdain, you've just risen to the bait.

Yes I have gingejbee!  I'm cross with myself.  Of course my Peugeot 3008 isn't subject to this one - but I am terrified of being priced out of car ownership.  It really is essential to us.

I have slapped my hand and promised to be more sensible in future.

Emissions from cars aren't making people ill or polluting the environment. It's just another way of fleecing everyone. The trouble is, people believe all the gubbins.

You`d have thought by now, with modern technology, they would have reduced theie emissions level to something more sensible.

Emissions from cars never killed or harmed anyone. Mad Sad says there are 4000 deaths a year in London due to vehicle pollution, but neither he, or anyone else can show any evidence let alone proof. Name just one person who's died due to vehicle pollution. Oh yes, that young girl from about 10 years ago. She's the token example. There's got to be one, otherwise the claim can't be made can it?. But is there anyone else? Nope!

//Name just one person who's died due to vehicle pollution.//

My uncle Dave connected a pipe from his exhaust to the front window and died from carbon monoxide poisoning in July.

Sorry to hear that if its true.

But that's carbon monoxide so not Co2 or particles.

I agree with TTT, motoring is too cheap, when people on benefits can afford it then it needs to increase.

But we do need a better transport infra to assist.  Problem is successive Governments are not really bothered about the people just how much cash they can extract from us.

Isn't the increase in tax due to them often being driven by ***?

Maybe time to consider emigrating to a more civilised country (if you can find one) ? I'd recommend waiting 5 years first, but don't hold your breath. New governments rarely tackle undoing the crepe the previous one imposed on the people, they're more focused on adding a layer of their own crepe on top.

In that case tomas it hardly counts as pollution but is instead simply a source of the fatal substance he chose to create and use.

Actually clarion, in the case you describe the cause of death was the decision not to move out from a poor air quality area and live in a good air quality area. Personal responsibility to self and family members, especially those know to be vulnerable to something, should be one of everyone's priorities.
