Do you think that would have changed anyone's vote? I think some misunderstand why many people voted to leave

Fair enough.

So the Louvre will operate a racist pricing policy. Glad we're not to closely associated with a country which sanctions that.

I wasn't aware EU was a race - I live and learn.

Gawd elp us NJ. I didn't realise EU member citizens were all one race, and everyone else is a different one. 🤔 🤣

What a pathetic policy.

'Several hundred million euros' spaffed on exhibiting a few paintings while citizens shiver nightly on the banks of the Seine.

Perverse.

That decision is nothing to do with Brexit. It won't affect most British people

It isn't the status or characteristics of EU citizens that is the issue.

Their plan discriminatrs against non-EU citizens on the basis of their nationality. I don't know about in France, but in the UK that would be contrary to the Equality Act.

It would also disproportionately effect people on the grounds of their race. I imagine there are more black or Asian visitors to the Louvre who are not EU citizens than who are.

How do you think it would go down if a popular London attraction charged a fiver for UK passport holders and a tenner for everybody else?

They're giving a discount to EU member countries.

Some brexiteers are getting a trembly bottom lip because we won't qualify for it.

sacre bleu!

Fine by me NJ.

//Some brexiteers are getting a trembly bottom lip because we won't qualify for it.//

Are they? Can you give an example?

//in the UK that would be contrary to the Equality Act.//

It's good job they have independence from us then. Otherwise they'd be in trouble.

Perhaps we could appeal to the ECHR?

“They're giving a discount to EU member countries.”

Then they are discriminating against everybody else by not allowing them that discount.

“Fine by me NJ.”

So you would be happy to see a UK company discriminate against its customers on the basis of their nationality?

It is clearly wrong. But thank goodness not in our nation.

Don't extrapolate my responses NJ.

Folk are getting too serious on this thread - it was only a light-hearted poke at Gully for amusement only. With hindsight I should have posted it in Chatterbank. Nevertheless thank you all for your responses.

Come on Judge, you can't even get five pound coins for a fiver in that London.

"With hindsight I should have posted it in Chatterbank. Nevertheless thank you all for your responses."

Apologies, canary. I didn't take the thread in the spirit you intended.

You must know how exercised I become when I see "Brexit". I reckon you did it on purpose! 🤣
