Isle of Sheppey
Hi y'all. I was wondering if anyone knew/lived on the Isle of Sheppey. Years ago the island didn't have a very good rep, in fact it was a terrible place. However, I'm reading reports now that it is a good place to invest in as the new bridge that is coming will unite the Island with the mainland and property and business will increase by 20% at least.
Is this right? ANyone live there who thinks the island is becomming cool? Anyone live there who thinks the Island is still a dive, still full of pensioners (though nothing wrong with them!) and oiks (quite a lot wrong with them!)
Drop us a line and tell us about sunny Sheppey.

The centre of Sheerness has had some street improvements, and many private streets have been improved and adopted. I've never liked Leysdown.
You're probably correct in thinking that property prices will rise due to the improved link with mainland Kent, and I've heard talk of a future project to construct a massive barrier - with a bridge half way - right across to Essex. This would carry a road, and possibly rail. And for years there's been talk of building an airport out at sea. Personally, I wouldn't want to live near all that, but for some it would make sense.
Ummmm, scorpians and scum, sounds like just the place to bring up my tiny children.
(Maybe I won't let myself be seduced by the cheap house prices. Various descriptions reminded me of another famous Island beginning with alcho and ending in traz!!!!!!)
funny stuff tho. thanks for taking the time to reply
