That's exactly what I think. the press report him in such a ridiculous way and actually make it look like it's good to keep getting caught with Heroin and threatened with jail. They make it all like a joke. I hope he ends up in prison this time.

I actually saw him last week & it was amazing how many people verbally attacked him. Some people threw drinks & cigs at him & he just laughed. I've no time for him, but you'd have thought he committed murder the way people reacted to him

i really like The Libertines, not too impressed with Baby Shambles but hey maybe they'll improve and as for the performance at live 8 yuk... other than that his life is his own the lead and i'm not interested in what he does outside the studio or off the stage... who cares (or even knows except Gary) who his girlfriend or dad is? Judge him on his output - if you hate his music say that but anything else is pointless and shouldn't impact on your life in anway

Can I ask another question re the little twerp� He is now on remand til Feb 8th. Is this in a police cell or a prison? As he obviously has a drug problem will they treat him whilst on remand, or give him heroin or methadone or will he have to go cold turkey. I was just wondering.

I don't really have any interest in his personal life but I think the music he's created with The Libertines is amazing.

It's a shame that anybody wastes their time/life/money on drugs and he's obviously not setting a great example to anybody but as somebody's already said, he's not a murderer or anything.
Some people's reaction to him seems quite over the top.
