ANOTHER Muslim protest today - Why?

So we will have ANOTHER Muslim protest today.

What do they hope to achieve!.

The cartoons were printed in a Danish paper, they have never (to my knowledge) been printed in UK, there has been two UK based Muslim protests already, so why on earth do we need yet another UK based protest.

All it does is make the Muslims seem like people who go on and on protetsting about the slightest thing, and give themselves a bad image amongst the rest of the UK population.

I used to love this country, but I am getting more and more sick of it every day.

Surely the mass immigration of the last 20 years has to be the worst thing we ever did. I hate to think what the future is going to be like.

Anybody who has read my answers probably realises I have no time for conspiracy theorists. I can't help ponder though, that the Powers that be in this country are promoting this in some way.

Justification for our wars (as if we need any more!) and a hidden agenda to reclaim our country back. If so fantastic.

I am sure the BNP are rubbing their hands at all the negative press our muslim cousins are portraying.

It's taken four months to build up this momentum so those responsible for stirring things up are not going to let go now. The protests in Arabic countries where people have died seem to be more the hardcore fanatics causing trouble against their own governments than against a few cartoons. There was barely a whisper when the cartoons were printed in an Egyptian newspaper last year, some people are now causing trouble for it's own sake.

What sort of leader can't take a little caricaturisation anyway?

I think that at present, under this goverment, there's no doubt that this country will be Muslim in the forseeable future.

This country is, or should be, a Christian country, but look whats happening, school assmblies have been stopped in some schools, for fear of upsetting them, Christmas in some area's has become Wintermass, there are loads of different examples that could be quoted, AND, some Universities ate going to call a halt for two hours a week, so Muslims can pray.

These Muslims that are marching today, say they are moderates, I have no remit against people of any religion that want to live here peacefully, but many of these so called moderates that are marching, have proven links to terrorist groups.

And going on from W-M, he thinks that the powers that be may be promoting this. I believe it.

vehelpfulguy, I tried to answer this dilema on another thread titled 'danish pastries=roses of muhammad?' for those who may be interested. But I believe this is blown out of proportion by the way it is being executed. And I also agree that this will play to the hands of BNP.

Whilst I agree with what Lonnie says, I am not sure what it takes to be a Christian country. I am told (but I have no confirmation) that there are already more people in this country worshipping in Mosques than in Churches.

I don't see the needs of any demonstrations or protest as the UK has nothing to do with the cartoon incident - so why exactly spends weeks and weeks of protest ?! Muslims don't seem to understand the difference between a riots and protests. I understand that they are offended but there is no need for riots around the globe burning flags and embassies etc.

it's about time we scrapped all religons. they have been responsable for more death and destruction then any other reason in mans history. these cartoon demonstration's make me laugh , they have even put a bounty on the cartoonists head. all religons say love thy neighbour etc etc but who actually does? we should bin all of them and start worrying about real issues like the ice caps melting . after 1000's of years of war and fighting religon has got man nowhere. just millions dead and why ? because your god says this and my god says that. what a load of b****x .

Don't worry this will be the first and last post I will put up on this thread, I'm not getting involved in a battle with the righteous squad! I really must agree with what Sako says and add, this is Islam. you can rant and rave all you want trying to say that this a small section of extremists, but again I have been proved right, that this is the majority of muslims, in Britain at least. Surely everyone can see it, or am I just a prejudiced racist? I don't think so and as time goes on I think I will be proved right, over and over again, and we will be up to our necks in it, and it will be too late!

I couldnt help noticing that one of the protesters was carrying a placard that read 'Jesus & Moses were prophets of Islam' - kind of paradoxical when you realise how offensive that claim is to Chrsitians, taking into account why they were marching in the first place.

Whoa! Hold on! the average moderate-muslim-on-the-street is quick to bring the community together and march on London when something upsets them - and fair enough too -why shouldnt they have a voice. But where were these same people when they should've been organising 'Not in my name' style protests against the london bombings back in the summer ?

Regretfully,most of the letters here are correct,the extreme libralism that has taken over the political parties of our country will only lead to an Islamic state,the indigenous people are being side tracked more and more each day,we are loosing our freedom of speech,right to privacy and indeed even our identity,all being eroded by wishy-washy politicians who want only to line their own pockets.I tell my granchildren to learn several foreign languages as English will become only a secondary language in Britain.

You may be right about the country heading towards "Muslimicity", but at the end of the day (or any other time) ask yourselves how many people can be bothered when the time comes,to go out and vote for what THEY want ! Maybe the Muslim people will be only too pleased to vote their own representatives into power!

I've had this Brilliant idea. Why don't we all become Muslims,then we can select our own Mullahs and change it to a sloppy comfortable religion-like Christianity.
