So, our beloved leader has become 'Bushised' and is now referring to God in his speeches.

Is it right for a leader to trust God (also known as Voices in the Head0 rather than intelligence reports and the advice of others?

Is this a way of saying that we are a Christian nation again with a leader who will go to war to protect Christianity?

Is Ward-Minter about to be proved correct - is this now a was on Islam led by 2 Christian leaders?

Our PM is looking increasingly foolish over this issue. To claim as he has done in the past that his God will stand in judgement (hope this sort of defence is open to all other criminals and embezzelers in this country) is remarkably stupid. His catchphrase since 1997 should have been Evolution Evolution Evolution and not education education education. What a prize idiot.
not sure God wouldn't have given him better advice on weapons of mass destruction than the CIA did. But what he wants is some superior being who will tell him that everything he does is wonderful. Tessa Jowell has Tony Blair to do this. Tony Blair has only God.
PS nice catchphrase Dom Tuk.

I thought the most interesting point was that he didn't say he belived in God, He said he would be judged by "other people" and IF you belive in God, God as well. maybe a politician is finaly comming to realise that the majority of people no longer follow any religion. Is he preparing for the next ellection already and looking to the athiest vote?

Quote from Blairs speech:-

"That decision has to be taken and has to be lived with, and in the end there is a judgment that - well, I think if you have faith about these things then you realise that judgment is made by other people,'' he said.
Asked to explain what he meant, Mr Blair replied: "If you believe in God, it's made by God as well.''

One again he's copying Dubya. Bush has made great play of his religious "beliefs" to win votes from gullible and slightly unhinged bible-thumpers in the US, particularly the Southern states. You know the kind I mean - the ones who confuse Christianity with extreme right-wing politics. We don't have so many of them over here, but Blair seems to be trying to appeal to the one we do.

I'm not sure how killing civilians in the name of Christianity makes him better than some nut with a rucksack full of explosives killing civilians in the name of Islam, but there you have it.

He probably thinks Bush is God.

because bush is convinced he is god.

If Bush is the god then god bless us all. "In god we trust" No thank you I don't trust Bush and his cronies and neither do I trust this government (the puppet) that follow him around without any sense of moral conviction.

Sorry guys but BLair is a raving b*****y loony and Bush and him should book in somewhere together, and disappear.
as i dont believe in god!!! and blair has no proof of his existance either.. i think this statement is a blatent disregard for the safety of our armed forces..he is switching the blame which is typical of politicians..he is trying to make out he is holy joe...well if he wishes to make sacrifices why doesnt he send his son to the front line action..see how he likes it..
God save us from religion.
I don't know why he's suddenly decided to bring God into this... he's either going mad (with guilt) or having a mid-life crisis.
Either way, we're doomed.

Technically as a Catholic he is not supposed to be able to hold office of Prime Minister, the Blair's were always cagey about their religion until more recent times. Hopefully it won't be long now until he goes.

I think the general public's safety and security in both UK and USA has been jeopardized by our stupid governments short sighted and ignorant foreign policies over the last fifteen years.

I think TB's comments were totally arrogant, I think saying something like only god can judge him is beyond belief!! Yes, god will judge him alright, he'll send him downstairs for old nick to give him a good prod with his toasting fork!!!!!
Mind you, I'm all for reclaiming our country as a christian country!
Reclaiming this country as a christian one is one thing, using God as an excuse to invade another is totally different (and blasphemous) !
Totally agree, using god for that purpose is immoral, blasphernous and unforgivable.
