glad he's dead - even more so since it appears it wasn't suicide. Hope it was long and painful and frightening for him, I really do. He wouldn't have got a death sentence when (not if) found guilty, and I think that like Saddam, he'd have been arrogant, bullish and, frankly a total prick right to the end of his trial. However, I hope the family and friends of his countless vitcims don't feel that he's cheated justice, as that would be a real shame.

I think it is a great achievement of our civilised society that he wouldn't have got the death penalty. Death isn't justice in my opinion; justice is sitting in a cell for the rest of your life contemplating the evil errors of your pasts. I'm just not sure he had enough time to truly regret what he'd done.

I'm glad he's dead, as its one less scumbag on this planet, but I would have preferred seeing him serving a life sentence in jail.
Lets hang him anyway

There should be negative ratings, which aren't report.
That he's dead: indifferent
That his trial had not finished: disappointed

He's dead.I am sorry for that because the murdering scheming basta*d hasnt had to face up to his barbaric atrocities.I'm sorry for the families of the victims who now dont have 'closure'.

He didnt suffer (unfortunately)- but I suspect he would have had as much respect for the court and would have been as arrogant as Saddam.

I saw the work of his henchmen in Bosnia from 93-95 im so fu******g glad he's dead. Only sorry it didnt hurt and he didnt suffer. Hope he is rotting in hell
PS, spacechimp, he would not contemplate his crimes because he was convinced he was right, so I really hope his final thoughts were of all the suffering he caused to countless families (but I doubt it)
I hope the devil has saved a couple of spaces for the other genocidal scum, Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic.
hear hear Drusilla mate XX

I suppose the concept of hell would be useful on these occasions.

He is dead and gone forever. Thank God! People can now move on from his dreadul legacy. The sooner he is forgotten, the better. Dictators, tyrants always seem to get out of it somehow.

Both. Glad he's dead - yes, has he cheated justice - yes.
Question Author
Ludwig, I don't understand. That would mean you were glad that he'd cheated justice...?
Spacechimp you seem to be a liitle liberal in your opinions on this man.

he was a monster who encouraged the rape and murder of innocent people. not just the killing in combat of enemy soldiers.

You seem to be critical of those with opinions that he should have been given the death sentence.

OK an eye for an eye is a contraversial line of thought, but surely you must accept that if people like him did not exist the world would be a better place. Therefore people like him should not be allowed to exist.
Question Author

That's some really screwed logic. The world would be a better place without thieves, therefore thieves should not be allowed to exist?

What I would say is that the world would be a better place without genocide, rape or murder, therefore genocide, rape and murder should not be allowed to take place.

Spacechimp we are talking about a man who lead a regime of genacide. I can only presume that you are one of his supporters and I shall certainly NOT be answering anymore of your questions or commenting on any threads that you are partaking in.

Are you a woman who as a norm wears dungarees by any chance !
Question Author

I think your last point was irrelevant and offensive.

I am quite aware who is being discussed and most certainly am not one of his supporters. Forgive the clich, but two wrongs do not make a right.

Am I missing something? I don't know how anyone could infer from spacechimp's comments that he/she is a sympathiser or supporter of Milosevic. Bizarre.

To clarify my own point, I'm glad that he's dead because he's no longer in the world and that can only be a good thing. On the other hand, he never received a sentence - whatever it would have been, so he did cheat justice.
