I take it you mean wages? Tell me about it, its not worth your while working half the time. Why do we even bother doing any overtime it just gets taken straight from you.
What specifically do you think you're being short-changed on nikita?

Our Council Tax. Increased again by 5%.
nikita i disagree. Here in my town we have a lovely day centre for pre-op transexual, single parent, eco-warrior asylum seekers where they can feel part of the community.
Here Here mr WM, and one hopes you are helping out to serve tea and home made cakes. poor things that they are.

Was'nt John Prescott the pioneer of the sex-change movement?

Don't transsexuals, eco warriors and single mum's pay tax then, WM? I'm a single Mum and pay taxes like every other working person, or is it 'generalisation day' again?
Absolutely not, Labour is very very poor value for money! They waste money terribly and spend it on some very questionable things!
We are paying for Mrs. Ruth kelly's second home where her mortgage payments and gas and electricity bills come to 25, 000 in four years but since she is a Blair babe she can say its 72,000.
i definately feel ive had my moneys worth out of my taxes paid ... imagine how much it would cost to have have a private ambulance on standby 24 hours a day+ private security service (police) on hand, just in case. When i look at how much it would cost me to see my consultant privately, or actually pay the price of medicines that i use in a year I realoze i am doing very well outta this lark

Council tax is supposed to be used, like all taxes, for the benefit of the tax payers. Unfortunately the council officials use a big portion for their personal benefits and as their personal needs increase they want the taxes to increase. Let the council show that they are properly accountable for the tax they already receive. Cut out the pleasure trips under the guise of 'official business'!

Well my rubbish is only picked up half the time and therefor we have cats spreading our rotten food etc... all over the garden on a regular basis - I ring and complain and they come. hehehehe I live on a main road next to a pub, how can they miss me?

So in answer to the question NO I don't believe I get my moneys worth and for the amount I pay every month it does annoy me.

More peoole emigrating to Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Australia, Canada, East Europe, etc. than people immigrating.
Question Author

Sorry, that has to be another topic.

Those on small or fixed incomes and pensions have not the ability to pay the increasingly higher taxes.

Question Author

We'll have taxes for sunlight or even enjoyment at this rate. Oh, they've thought about that and realise they will lose votes.

Yes, we are looking to emigrate to Spain. The same services there and more sunshine, for less.

Things used to be fairly straightforward. You knew where you stood ..Labour - increase taxation, increase spending....Tories - cut taxes, cut spending.
New labour have messed all that up with the new hybrid approach..increase taxation, cut spending.
The best way to make sure politicians take notice of what we want our tax pounds spent on is for all of us to vote at the next general election and vote for anyone except the sitting MP. They might just listen to us then.
