What are the views of ABers on the news that yet another person who has converted from Islam to Christianity has been sentenced to death?
I am happy for all people to choose their own faith, or no faith.
Why cannot Islam extend the same to others?

This incident takes place in Afghanistan, where the Taliban regime (linked to Al-Qaeda) were in power. They have abused the rights of their own people for a long time and although currently, there is a moderate govt. set up by UK/USA forces, the country is still largely unstable with the Taliban insurgents terrorizing the local people.

The country is still in shambles because of war and instability, and the people there will sentence someone to death as much as for choosing their religion as they would for expressing any other civil right. This is why many of the Afghan people have fleed and live as refugees in neighboring countries.

I think in this case, the international human rights groups should intervene to save that man's life, as it would be disgraceful and very tragic if he ended up being executed simply because of his religion.

christians all over the world are being persecuted for their faith in muslim countries - but they worship freely in other countries (you know a tree by it's fruit) islam is a violent religion if you dont do what they want you to - fundamentalist or not - WATCH OUT THIS COUNTRY!!! - its already started

this countrys history and prosperity has been built on biblical principles and a fear of God........things are changing......in the bible God allowed his enemies to deal with rebellion
