A song with the verse "with the summerset in your eyes" sounded a little Ian Brown(ish).

It's not 'In the sun' by Stipe or Joseph Archer.

Anyone know?

Only caught a fraction of it so can't give you any more clues.

I'm not too sure, but would it not be Sunset in your eyes rather than summerset? Try Googling the lyrics.
