Hi, to follow on from noxlomus - this is on behalf of my sister, she is currently approx 11/12weeks pregnant but is already starting to think of names.
She is white (english & c of e) and her partner is black (carribean and muslim) so obviously the baby will be mixed race........her partner wants the baby to have a muslim name she agrees but wants a non muslim middle name and is struggling to find anything that goes together (boys or girls). She also doesn't want a name that is 'too' muslim - if that makes sense!
Hope you can help with some ideas
A xXx

There are a lot of more western sounding names in the lists - including Daniel, Aydin, Amelia (never knew that was a muslim name!), Ariana, Mikaeel... A lot of Muslim prophets were also prophets in Christianity too which I suppose explains some of the similarities in the boys' names. ooh what fun.
Oh that site is great...i am loving all them pretty names...
Little Girls names
i think Madia is nice it means praiseworthy and can be spelt Madia or Madiha, and a middle name that sounds lovely with it...Madia Jane or Madia Leigh or Madia Louise another nice girls name Liyana which means softness, tenderness this would go with any of the previous middle names, but i think Liyana May is lovely too.
Little boys names are quite hard to find when your sister doesn't want a 'too muslim' name! but i think that Jasim is nice it means healthy. A middle name that goes with this Jasim Michael or Jasim Dean Hope this helps.x x
