Satellite receiver problem

Hello Everyone .. I am residing in the middle east and am thinking of going in for a Satellite Digital receiver & here we get the Hummax system and I think the 2 stations or I think are ARABSAT & NILESAT.. I was wondering if Anyone could tell me Like how to search for free to air channels and stuff Like get a code Punch it in and get acess to Different networks .. Like is it possible like that i would really like to know as am New to this .. thanks for all the help and advice ya'll are givin appreciate it
