btw. I had never even heard of the 9/11 conspiracy thing until mentioned here a few weeks back and being the inquisitive type thought I would check out a few of the links provided.... you know, knowledge broadens the mind sort-o-thing ......... anyways, some of the links put forward some interesting, unanswered questions, (not seen any of these 'stories' you relate to tho) the following link is basically asking how could the most defended piece of real estate on the planet be such an easy target for terrorists.... The claims he makes can also be checked by searching the web and finding official Goverment sites (Though some of them have gone off line this last week or so)!

I'm not saying I believe there was a conspiracy, in fact I shudder to think what would happen in the world if it was ever proved to be true, but interesting issues are raised, please read :-)

The problem with the conspiracy theory is that it puts many people into denial mode automatically as soon as they here it said.

What we should say is that what happened both at the Pentagon and the three World Trade Towers on 911 has many technical and logistical aspects that cannot be explained by the official version of events.

I can see that the whole thing was obviously engineered by Americans, but the so-called 'conspiracy theories' seem to miss the obvious evidence and cling to numerical coincidences. This doesn't work for most of us as we are not Kabbalists.

The dead giveaway is in the 'relationship' between the date and the emergency services number. In America dates written backwards compared to most other civilised countries. To most of the world, 9/11 means the 9th of November and the 11th of September would be 11/9. Only an American could be insular enough to not appreciate this. Also, in America the energency services number is 911, but is different in most other countries - 999, 000, 123, 111, etc. Only an American could be insular enough to think that 911 would be of significance.

The motive is pretty straightforward. They needed a way of engineering anti-eastern feeling up to fever pitch so that they would have the opportunity to get troops into Iraq. The purpose of this would be to ensure that it was American troops who would find the famous 'weapons of mass destruction' and destroy the evidence of who supplied the biological components in the first place. This required the Americans to be on their own in Iraq, but as the reasons was so tenuous then who else would agree to go with them ? Well even if other tropps did support the American ones, in the unlikely event of them finding the biological weapons they could always be eliminated via a 'friendly fire' incident.
