Makes my blood boil when i see old peopel murdered

In the news today a lady of 89 was murdered police don't know reasons but jewellery as gone missing.

It really makes me so angry when an old person get's beat up for �3.00 or some stupid amount . They are cowards who committ this. The police should be able to give them a beating for this.I am so angry.

I don't see why the thugs who do this keep getting away with it. They should bring back some kind of punishment (by law ) cat o nine tails , or that new shock thing to show that they can't keep getting away with it.

If anything happened to my nan i would be straight after that person believe me.

Sorry I agree with WaldoMcFroog. Despite the passions you would feel if it were indeed your granny (tho I would feel for anyone, not just a relative of mine) I would not be able to condone mob violence. How can you say that a beating is bad but then the punishment be a beating. I am however a believer in humane corporal punishment. If someone has indescriminately murdered someone then they should be humanely killed. After all, we would do that for a vicious animal.

I agree its disgusting! i don't agree that the police should be able to beat people up. I have had friends wrongfully arrested so thats not ok.As we are sometimes made aware of, there are some bad coppers as well as all the excellent ones. However, i think there should be some sort of punishmnent befitting the crime! I would love to be the one do dish it out!!! I would pay to go and beat the **** our of a granny basher, a peadophile and those who murder for the hell of it! this country is too soft and its about time things changed. that is why statements like inej posted, are made because people are just peed off at them getting away with it! I have a neice who was visciously mugged by 3 20 year old girls when she was 12, so don't tell me they shouldn't get a taste of their own medicine instead of 6 months in a holiday camp! Tell the families of the victims they should be treated like human beings, to me they lose that right the moment they attack another human being!

i would have to agree whole hearedly with the idea that thugs like this are sub-human and thus i would have no problem beating the cr@p outa them.

Alternativly make mandatory senances. For example i think if someone breaks an ASBO they should automattically get at least 3 years in the slammer. And for thugs who mug old ladies then send them to the cells for 20 years

also strip the cells of all niceities such as tv's etc

I certainly think imprisonment should be a punishment, but how far can you go before you dehumanise yourself for implementing such a system. We were in Kenya a couple of weeks ago and the prisons there don't even have matresses in the rooms let alone tv's etc. However the police will also arrest and imprison any black person with dreadlocks on any trumped up charge, as they think that is synonymous with drug dealing. maybe we just need a voice of reason and common sense. However I don't think violence to fight violence or lynch mobs are the way to go.

Hi everyone , i didn't explain myself about the police, what i mean is there should be some punishment given which is much harsher, putting them in prison for some is luxury . We or should i say the law is too soft . Bring back something like cat o nine tails to show this is what you will get if you do this etc,
