Implausible - maybe - it certainly wouldn't pass any clinical trials that modern therapies need to. But then again they do help many people (psychologically in my own opinion but how it works is of little matter to the person benefiting rather I�m sure they are just grateful that it does!)

regarding this news story - i agree that while the NHS is under funded and over stretched it should invest its dwindling resources in modern scientific medicine OR prove categorically that alternative medicine does indeed work for the majority of people and then progress development of the two schools of care simultaneously

Some people may prefer using homeopathic medicines because it works for them and has no side effects but the majority will always go for medicines scientifically proven to work fast and effectively.

If it can be proven that alternative/homeopathic medicines are just as effective as modern drugs then there shouldn't be a problem in integrating them with the modern medicines offered. The problem is that there is not enough conclusive proof to support this.

Rescue Remedy seems to work with kids and even on some adults. Mind you, I'm told that it's about 200% alcohol, so that may help, but it's generally classed as homeopathic. Homeopathy's never helped me, but I know others who claim to have been the better for it.

I'm not sure there is a lot of motivation to prove whether or not certain homeopathic medicines are effective or not, because most of them are natural subsances. So you cannot get a patent on them and make billions of dollars. Ultimately the pharmacutical industry is about making a lot of money.

I wonder that so much notice is taken of someone who if he was,t a member of a very privileged royal family and who if he had to work for a living would be stretched to the limit as a shelf stacker at Tescos.
